I rarely go through an appointment with a patient without someone mentioning poop, at some point. It’s a topic of conversation for kids of all different ages.

March 3 is Simplify Your Life Day, so here are a few tips to simplify your life.

Being raised by a single mother was the most significant life lesson I have ever had. At a young age, I learned how to take care of myself and how to take care of others. I also learned how to take care of a home.

In early October, I attended a Women’s Empowerment retreat through my work, and my favorite activity was a box filled with affirmations that we all took away from the event.  That weekend, I knew that I wanted to do something similar for our kiddos.  

I searched and searched for tips that would work for my family and me.  Ultimately, it was trial and error, and nothing quite helped me the way I wanted it to.  Here are the tips that helped me the most.

Sleep is not something we just have to hope, pray, and wait to get. There are things you can do tonight to encourage longer stretches (or full nights!) of sleep for your little one.
