During the Christmas season, I decided to shower my husband with “25 Days of I Love You” to make him feel extra special.

So, I racked my brain for some out-of-the-box Valentine’s Day date night ideas that don’t require a babysitter and some budget-friendly ideas if you do have a babysitter!

Ultimately, the foundation for a loving home IS a husband and wife. If we are happy, united as a team, and communicate with each other, our children will only benefit from that.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned since moving to Northeast Wisconsin, it’s that the regional flavor goes far beyond the Packers, beer, and cheese. In fact, there’s a whole host of regionalisms that I’m still learning about after coming up on 3 years.

Nearly six years in, yes, I would marry my husband again. We’ve had the important conversations several times and continue to have those talks because they are ever-evolving.

We choose our kids OVER and OVER all day long, but the idea behind “I choose you” can be pretty incredible when it comes to marriage.  Saying “I love you” is important, but meaning it and being intentional are what matter.

Football. Almost synonymous with Green Bay. We are, after all, Titletown. If you have not read the history of the Packers and how we became a community-owned team, you must read it.

Empty nest syndrome is a period of sadness or depression that sets in after your last baby bird flies the coop. I’ve seen evidence of this on Facebook for years – and with good reason.

Let’s just admit it – we’ve all watched at least one episode of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette.”  Sometimes you just need some trashy TV to get your mind off your own chaotic life.  My husband won’t be pleased that I share this, but we’ve watched “The Bachelorette” together. 

Anyone else burned out over the usual suggestions for New Year’s mom resolutions?  Every year it seems we all aim for the same things… finally lose that baby weight, purge/simplify, be more “present,” stop judging others, and the list goes on!
