Many of us experience “winter blues,” which is a temporary, “Tell me again, why do we live in this climate?” kind of thing. Beyond that, though, is seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, which is absolutely no joke.

The hardest part about outdoor winter fun is that it can take almost as long to get ready as it does to actually play outside. Sometimes longer. Getting out the door quickly doesn’t always happen with kids, especially when you factor in drives.

Although I love holiday shows as much as the rest, I am trying my best to change up our activities and add in some creativity.   Here are 2 of my favorite winter crafts to keep kids busy when it’s cold!
