As we all prepare to get the kids back to school, Mathnasium wants to shine the spotlight on Algebra Readiness.

When you live in Green Bay, you are going to have snow days. That’s just the way it goes. Kids are going to be thrilled by the unexpected day off from school.

Playing independently is a great skill; however, if we are more intentional with teaching play skills, we can teach our children so much more!

As summer break winds down and we get ready to restart the school routine, I often wonder – what are teachers thinking about this time of year?

Many districts in the area have adopted the ALICE training philosophy. Instead of the lockdown drills of the past, we are now following Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate. 

I’m working on my baby steps to move my family in the correct direction. We might never be the family to enjoy homemade pancakes before school, but hopefully we can move away from, “Why haven’t you finished your cereal yet? Get back here and eat!”

Moms across the country and around the world can agree: Mornings are rough. And until technology allows us to teleport our kids to class, those of us who drive are going to have to deal with the headaches of the school drop-off lane.

So after much research and education, my sister and I opened a head lice treatment and education company in Green Bay, WI.  Since then, we have successfully treated hundreds of cases of lice and talked with thousands of people regarding the prevention, detection, and treatment of lice.  Some of our favorite tips are found below!
