I am a Mom Guilt procrastinator of the highest order. I always have the best intentions to get things done and keep up with my To-Do list, but it never happens.

There’s nothing simple about parenting (or even living!). So how can simplifying your life possibly be simple?

My kids are old enough to share in the revolving summer job duties! And guess what!? So are yours!!

We decided what chores each of our children is capable of doing and how many minutes each chore should be worth.  Our children are all very much money and incentive-motivated, so we felt this could be a good fit for all of them.

To list our house as a vacation rental, we had to empty closets and cabinets of 16+ years of clothes, toys, games, and other accumulated possessions. I assumed that getting rid of our personal things would be emotionally difficult for this sappy mom, but decluttering actually got easier as we went along.

But with so much to accomplish and only so many hours in a day, how in the world do we stop multitasking?

While I know that my house can't look like it did before the kids, I decided to make some changes. During the last few weeks, I have scoured the internet for tips and tricks on how to organize my home despite living with two tiny humans who, even on their best days, are always working OVERTIME to keep our house the opposite of clean.

As homeschooling mama of three, my kids and I are used to being together and home. Obviously, we like to get out too, but being together is usually our norm. Here are some of the ways we incorporate learning at home, fun, and time together in fairly simple ways.

As she rattled off a plethora of tasks her daughters can carry out, I realized that I could really be doing so much more on the topic of appropriate chores for a preschooler.

As I work to stop chasing perfection, my reactions and mindset are positive and growing. The clean home, the organization, or the kids consistently having brushed teeth and picked up toys won’t matter anymore if these people are not in my life.
