3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids in the kitchen this weekend, look no further!  We whipped up this easy cookie recipe Friday night on the spur of the moment when we wanted a sweet treat but didn’t want to get into a long, complicated recipe.

The great thing with this recipe is that you can leave it simple with the 3 ingredients (which are typically kitchen staples anyhow!), or you can customize it to your preferences by adding chocolate chips, vanilla extract, quick oats, etc. You can easily double, triple… quadruple the recipe, and it’s also a great way to do some elementary math for a little “sneaky learning.”  (And a really great life skill!)

3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies, aka a really Easy Cookie Recipe

(Contains peanut butter)

1 egg

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup white sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all 3 ingredients and mix until smooth and creamy.

Then you can either roll into small balls or scoop onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork, making a criss-cross pattern.

Bake for 10 minutes, then allow 2 minutes to cool before moving to a plate. Enjoy, preferably with a cold glass of WI milk.
