And busy is most definitely a constant state for a mother with children in extracurricular activities or organized team sports.  Being a sports mom ain’t easy.

Empty nest syndrome is a period of sadness or depression that sets in after your last baby bird flies the coop. I’ve seen evidence of this on Facebook for years – and with good reason.

<p>Here are three “steps” that I use to make sure there is money left at the end of the month, rather than the other way around.  </p>

Mom guilt is real, y’all. It’s brutal and it’s real. And although the group is one that I don’t always participate in, I was super stoked to see how everyone built each other up.

Yes, I said it. I could have negotiated and had better results without having to yell. Something I’ve been working on in my Mom Skills Box is doing more negotiating with my crew, so I can yell at them less. 

Mother’s Day is almost here. It’s always one of those holidays that can be so anticipated, yet we know the day will generally not go as we expect or hope.

Spring is here, and sports are starting. Teach your child what it means to be part of a team. Show them what sportsmanship looks like. Don’t be “That Guy”! Remember why they are playing and what they are really playing for.
