As soon as she complimented me, I thanked her, but had to be honest with her.  I mean, it wasn’t the truth.  I’m not ALWAYS put together, calm, and composed.

Yes, I said it. I could have negotiated and had better results without having to yell. Something I’ve been working on in my Mom Skills Box is doing more negotiating with my crew, so I can yell at them less. 

Mother’s Day is almost here. It’s always one of those holidays that can be so anticipated, yet we know the day will generally not go as we expect or hope.

Spring is here, and sports are starting. Teach your child what it means to be part of a team. Show them what sportsmanship looks like. Don’t be “That Guy”! Remember why they are playing and what they are really playing for.

My husband and I are making a conscious effort to share the mental load. It’s not easy. I am by nature a planner, and my husband is not.

<p>I remember watching one of my closest friends putting her baby to her breast. It was like magic.  It was as if baby and mom were perfectly connected.  Meanwhile, I sat attached to my pump EVERY 3 hours.  I still needed to use formula. I felt like I failed to connect with my baby.  I’d cry because the sound of my pump parts clicking together made my milk let down…not the cry of my baby.  </p>

So after much research and education, my sister and I opened a head lice treatment and education company in Green Bay, WI.  Since then, we have successfully treated hundreds of cases of lice and talked with thousands of people regarding the prevention, detection, and treatment of lice.  Some of our favorite tips are found below!
