Many successes in life are about consistency. If I am trying to lose weight, I can’t eat well only once in a while. When I am working on learning how to play an instrument, I need to practice every day. Why would I think raising children is any different?

Let’s cut to the chase. Moms are BUSY. Just you reading this means your kiddos are sleeping, not with you at the moment, or you need just 2 minutes of mommy time as they are tying your shoelaces together this very moment.

As moms, we all have an idea of what the “perfect” mom is like. A few months back, there was a YouTube video floating around about different types of perfect moms.

I read about the second-child syndrome when I was pregnant with my second, and heard many moms talk about how different it is once you have more than one child.  However, I vowed that I would give my second child just as much attention as my first.

I used to live in this magical land where babies drank from bottles with little persuasion. They latched on and cuddled into your arms just as if it were the real deal.

Does anyone else feel like they will never sleep again?? Between pregnancy insomnia, newborn feedings, crazy busy days, and the months (possibly years) until your baby sleeps through the night, sleeping well can seem like a distant memory.

The day was winding down, and the mess from the party had been cleaned up.  I no longer had a 4-year-old, but a 5-year-old.  Despite her obvious tiredness, my daughter was still beaming from the day's festivities.

I can only begin to imagine how I’ll feel when my girls are old enough to start school. For now, I am flooded with the thoughts of parents around me.
