25 Creative Ideas to Add to Your Summer Bucket List!

Summer is all about adventures and making memories! Â This is also a great time of year to make a bucket list of things you want to see and do! Â The kids can help make your summer bucket list as well. Â There is a lot of joy and satisfaction that comes with crossing items off of it! Â There are tons and tons of summer bucket lists out there, but here are 25 creative ideas you might not have thought of to add to your list before!
 Buy a new fruit each week and try it as a family.  Bonus if it comes from a farmer’s market!
 Park Crawl – Try a new park every single week!  (You can save the pub crawls for the weekend with adults)
Try a new hobby as a family – learning constellations, geocaching, starting a garden, etc!
Read 3-4 chapter books together as a family (or 3-4 special books if chapter books are too long for your kids)
 Visit a new pool this summer
Find a county or state park you have not been to and go for a walk/hike
Volunteer as a family – serve a meal, do yard work for an elderly neighbor, help at an event in town
Plant a new vegetable in your garden or just in a pot!
Head to the library for their summer reading program
Go to a concert in the park
Visit a drive-in movie theater
Go camping – in your backyard!!!
Make your own popsicles (much healthier, too)
Set up a lemonade stand in the neighborhood
Teach the kids how to make some new recipes in the kitchen
Have a giant water balloon fight with the neighbors – kids vs. adults
Find a splash pad and enjoy!
Unplug from all electronics for a week and play as many board games as possible
Start to learn a new language together – early on is the BEST time for kids to acquire new languages!
Do some science projects. Plain old vinegar and baking soda are so fun!
Go on one-on-one dates with the kids and each parent
Visit your elderly relatives or a nursing home. They appreciate visits in the nice weather, too!
Learn more about 3 animals/insects that you see in the summer
Try a new sport together, like croquet or pickleball
Take 1,000 pictures
